The Ashbory Bass	The Ashbory is an amazing bass guitar, that has no peers. A short scale, rubber strung electric bass that sounds like an accoustic upright, but is easier to carry on public transport. You'd have to be 100% sane to not love these, and that rules out all us bass players, right?
BC Rich Bass Guitars	Founded by the late Bernardo Chavez Rico way back in the 1970s, BC Rich bass guitars are now mostly manufactured in Asia, although there are still some guitars still made by hand in the company's custom shop. Now famous for their willingness to design and sell unconventional body style bass guitars.
Epiphone Basses	Epiphone date back to the 1870s, in the Ottoman Empire (now Turkey), where a Greek luthier named Anastasios Stathopoulos made traditional string instruments. Stathopoulos moved to the USA in 1903, and the company eventually grew to be one of Gibsons main rivals before eventually being taken over by them. The brand is now used by Gibson to sell a low priced guitars that are still of a suprisingly high quality - often indistinguishable from the Gibson equivalent.
Fender Bass Guitars	One of big brand names in guitars, Fender was founded in Fullerton, California, by in 1946 by "Leo" Fender. Fender designed and manufactured one of the first really successful solid-body electric bass guitars, the Fender Precision Bass - still the electric bass guitar to which all the others are compared.
Gibson Bass Guitars	Another of the big names in electric guitars, Gibson are perhaps more famous for their six-string guitars and mandolins, they are also renowned for their line of bass guitars like the Thunderbird, the EB-0 bass and EB-3 bass, the Ripper bass, and the Grabber bass.
Hofner Bass Guitars	The violin-bodied Hofner bass is one of the most famous bass guitars of all time. Originally chosen but Paul McCartney because it's symetrical form meant he could play it left handed without it looking odd, it became the Beatle's trademark. Perhaps not ideal for thrash metal though
Hohner Bass Guitars	Hohner bass guitars are another brand that has been around since ..well.. pretty much the start of the electric bass. They ofefr many fine bass guitars including the popular headless bass.

Rickenbacker	Rickenbacker can claim to be the father or the electric guitar, putting its first models on sale in 1932. It is now the largest manufacturer of guitars to operate solely in the USA. Their distinctive style makes them stand out to both the ear and the eye.
Spector Bass Guitars	Spector bass guitars are a class act from a company that specialises in bass guitars. Spector still produce their best quality bass guitars in New York, with the budget ranges being manufactured in the far east and eastern Europe.
Warwick Basses	Warwick bass guitars are reknowned for their growly tone, and with over 20 models to choose offer a bass guitar for every preference.
Washburn Guitars	Going way back to 1883, Washburn are another great name in guitars. Plenty of innovation and quality go into their hand built bass guitars.
